I've heard this rumored for years but is Echinacea really that helpful in getting rid of a cold?

The Rumors are true. Not only does echinacea help you while you have a cold but it prevents you from getting one in the first place. But how effective is it do you ask?

I've been taking Echinacea for years and rarely get colds or flu anymore.
The first time my wife took it was about a week before she was due to get allergy tests. When she went for the tests, nothing showed up! Absolutely no allergies. We were amazed and have been taking it ever since.
Keep in mind that there are different types of Echinacea and that it's sold in varying dosages. Do some research and make sure you get the purest possible.
Also, it's been suggested that Echinacea shouldn't be taken on a regular basis. Some say 8 weeks maximum, others say 8 days on and 8 days off.
