Multivitamins and School performance

Can multivitamins help my child’s performance in school?

Most teachers firmly believe that nutrition and learning go hand in hand. They are convinced that children who are well nourished possess the mental stamina thatís needed to learn and retain even difficult concepts.
But can multivitamins help children become better students?

Two independent research teams recently conducted randomized trials to find the answer. The researchers followed 245 schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 years for three months. They gave half of the children multivitamin tablets every day, and half of the children placebos. When the children were tested, the children in the multivitamin group showed an increase in their nonverbal intelligence scores. Nonverbal intelligence is closely associated with academic performance.

I would definitely that the more nutritionally balanced a student is then the better chance for academic success.

I don't honestly think that any artificially, or synthetically made product can influence a childs performance in school.
It just cannot be true!

Fish oil is good for memory but IMO first you consult your nearest doctor and then any medication give to your child. And vegetables and fruits are good for vitamins.

As we know multivitamins are quite popular among many adults but it is not the same for children. Generally multivitamins are given to someone when there is a deficiency of some particular vitamin. If you get to know that your child is not taking proper food and there is a deficiency of some particular vitamin, you should consult your doctor for considering a multivitamin.
