Testosterone deficiency As men age, the pituitary gland produces less testosterone and more free testosterone is converted to estrogen caused by the sex hormone binding globulin and the increasing of by-product prolactin of testosterone stimulating the production of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase that causes the conversion of testosterone to gihydro-testosterones DHT resulting in low levels of testosterone. 3. Alcohol abuse Alcohol not only increases the heart palpitation and high blood pressure but also damaging of the liver that is vital for toxin cleansing. If the liver can not perform it's function, that causes free radicals building up in all organs in our body including our brain. 4. Any deficiency not only causes a weakened immune system but also other kinds of disease as well as faciliate the eventual onset of Alzheimer's disease. 8.
